Sing a song of bacon: carcinogenic food gets a catchy jingle
Bacon could be the new smoking, as the World Health Organization has released a review classifying processed meat as carcinogenic to humans.
The review puts meats like bacon and ham into group one — the same category as tabacco and asbestos.
Crawford asked Because News panellists Jasmeet Singh, Ashley Botting and Tom Howell to help out the meat industry with catchy slogans for bacon.
"Canadian bacon — now in more convenient sizes: snack size, family size and metasta-size," offered up Howell.
"Your colon is lonely. Eat some bacon and give it a friend who will stick around for years," said Botting.
