Quiz: Belly Up to Super Bowl 50

It’s the Denver Broncos vs. the Carolina Panthers and a billion chicken wings vs. our stomachs.

It's that time of year when we all pretend to like football for four hours so we have an excuse to eat like we're about to go to the electric chair. That's right, it's the Super Bowl!

But in a change that's yet another sign of the waning power of the Roman Empire, Roman numerals won't be used. This will be Super Bowl 50.

It's a smart move since, as Because News panellist Kris Siddiqi points out, Super Bowl L would be pronounced "Superbowlllll."

And even worse, as panellist Tom Howell says, in four years we'll have Super Bowl LIV which would just look like they spelled "LIVE" wrong.

Guest host Talia Schlanger says an even bigger problem is Super Bowl LIX, which could be mistaken for a Super Bowl soundtrack that consists entirely of 80's heavy metal guitar solos.

Or even WORSE, Super Bowl 599 would be Super Bowl DIC, which would have an unfortunate hashtag and associated "pics"…

They could cure their own concussions when they happen- Talia Schlanger on Super Bowl MD (a.k.a. Super Bowl 1500)

In this episode of Because News, Talia asks our panelists to spin the deep-fried 'Wheel of Portions' and guess the volume of food that will be eaten this Sunday. Test your knowledge below, and don't forget to account for sauce!
