Canada pulls our CF-18s back

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada is ending its airstrikes against ISIS, and tripling the number of troops assisting Iraqi security forces.

The Conservatives are mad that Canada is ending its combat mission, while the NDP are mad that Canada is committing to an open-ended combat mission. Wow, war is so simple!

Interm Conservative Party leader Rona Ambrose calls it "a shameful step backward from our proud traditions," but Hedley's Jacob Hoggard commented that bombing people seems like a weird new tradition. Meanwhile Barbara Kay wasn't shy about expressing her disagreement with Trudeau's decision.
