Terrorize Twitter with #HorrorTech

Creeps are hacking into our stuff and we're apparently making it reeeal easy for them.

The most popular password on earth is once again "123456," which is kind of pathetic unless your mother's maiden name happens to be "123456."

This week, we were all reminded why tech security is important by a story about a family who had their baby monitor hacked by someone who spoke to their child. The stranger said things like "Wake up little boy, daddy's looking for you." The only thing that would make that scarier is if the operator said "He's hacking from inside the house!"

That bowel-loosener of a story inspired this week's hashtag challenge: #HorrorTech. Sharpen your puns and stab them into us on Twitter @CBCBecauseNews. Here's a few to get the blood pumping:

  • Rosemary's Baby Monitor
  • Steven King's I.T.
  • My Bloody Valentinder
  • I Know What You Did Last Summer Because You Won't Stop Posting Pictures Of It On Facebook
