#CannabisCarols: it's like Christmas for stoners

This week's hashtag challenge is #CannabisCarols — take a Christmas song and make it 'high.'

It looks like cannabis could be coming to Canada — legally that is.

In keeping with his campaign promise, Prime Minister Trudeau has instructed his ministers to look into legalizing marijuana and the question turned remarkably quickly from "should we sell it?' to "man, where should we sell it?"

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne made headlines for her proposal to see marijuana sold at provincial liquor stores.

Interim Conservative leader Rona Ambrose spoke out against that plan, saying she isn't confident liquor stores can keep pot away from kids.

The pendulum seems to have swung so far so fast. It's like Christmas for stoners.

With that in mind, this week's hashtag challenge is #CannabisCarols — take a Christmas song and make it 'high'.

Because News host Gavin Crawford suggests "Rudolph the Red-Eyed Reindeer" and"Angels We Have Heard Are High."

Panellists Aisha Alfa, Dave Merheje and Ashley Botting tried out some carols of their own.

"Santa Clause is coming to town with a warrant for his arrest," offered up Merheje.

Alfa burst into song with "O Tannen-bong, O Tannen-bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong, bong-bah-bong."

Gavin sat down at the piano to sing a few of his favourites.
