Extra: A Loss of Innocence - Louise Elliott and The Ottawa Shooting 2014.

Last year’s shooting on Parliament Hill shook Ottawa, and the entire country. The CBC's Louise Elliott was one of the first reporters on the scene. One year later, this is her Back Story.

Last year's shooting on Parliament Hill shook Ottawa, and the entire country. When shots rang out at the National War Memorial, and later on Parliament Hill, the nation's capital would be changed forever.
 
The CBC's Louise Elliott was one of the first reporters on the scene that morning. She was there as Cpl. Nathan Cirillo lay bloody, fighting for his life. She recounts the ensuing chaos and confusion of that day.
