Thousands of people died. World heritage sites turned to rubble. It was the worst earthquake Nepal has seen in more than 80 years. The destruction was staggering.

The CBC's Adrienne Arsenault arrived soon after the earthquake struck. She reported from city centres and  remote villages. But there are stories that didn't make it to air. Until now.

Public cremations, camping with leopards and the personal toll reporters face covering disasters.
