The spokesperson for UN agency on-the-ground delivers the latest in the spiralling cycle of violence...AND, a beseeching note by a young seamstress seeking a suitor is discoverered stitched in the folds of a World War One British army kilt.

Gaza UN School
The UN school at the Jebaliya refugee camp in Gaza is one of many UN sites where Palestinian civilians have been seeking shelter.  
Today it also became another on a growing list of UN sites, in Gaza, to be hit.

Mountain Money
The Bank of Canada finally got it right. As it turns out a geographical error in what the Bank of Canada claimed was on its newest version of Canada's ten dollar bill -- and what is actually on that bill -- has now been corrected.

Kilt Message
