Conrad Black is known for his exhaustive examinations of U.S. Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Richard Nixon, and of Quebec Premier Maurice Duplessis. But this week, the former media baron and current British Lord turned his focus to another iconic "Nation" builder: Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.
On "The Zoomer", his new program on Vision TV, Lord Black -- who recently completed a prison sentence in the U.S. for mail fraud and obstruction of justice -- sat down with Mayor Ford for a one-on-one chat. Conrad Black insists that if the mayor said anything slanderous about Toronto Star reporter Daniel Dale, or Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair -- as has since been alleged -- it wasn't his responsibility to challenge him. He added that he would be disappointed if it turns out the mayor has lied to him.
The former chairman of Hollinger, Inc. lives up to his pugnacious reputation -- and is more than willing to chide Carol about her own interview style.
