When CBC Radio fans Amy Machin and her husband Evan decided to get new pets, they thought outside the coop. The Saanich, B.C. couple ditched the idea of getting dogs in favour of three chickens, who now live in their backyard. As for their names? They decided to name them after their favourite hosts: All Points West's Jo-Ann Roberts, The Current's Anna Maria Tremonti and our very own Carol Off.
"We decided to get chickens because my husband grew up in the Comox Valley in a hobby farm," Ms. Machin says of their unorthodox pet choice.
