Punctuation vigilantes break law: reintroduce apostrophes to Cambridge road signs

The city council in Cambridge, England voted to remove apostrophes from street signs in the community, in the interest of safety, and in accordance with national practice. Some feel that first responders may be confused by the apostrophes, and, as a result, citizens' lives may be endangered.

In Cambridge, grammar vigilantes have begun re-introducing the apostrophes on signs.
