Part One

UK fire: witness
A 24-storey high-rise in West London is consumed by fire, and while the neighbourhood and the world were watching in horror, our guest left his house down the street to take action.

Handmaid's protest
When a pro-choice group dressed in red cloaks and white bonnets to protest at the Ohio Statehouse, it was a nod to a novel that's never seemed more timely: Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale.

Part Two

Alex Jones interview
To the families of victims of the Sandy Hook massacre, the upcoming NBC interview with shouting conspiracy theorist Alex Jones isn't just offensive — it's an affront.

Red-tailed hawk adoption
They're watching it like a hawk. Because it is one. Also because the two bald eagles in Sidney, B.C. are raising the small red-tailed hawk as their own. A raptor specialist explains just how rare that is.

Part Three

UK fire warnings
The UK's former chief fire officer says he warned the UK government for years that building regulations around fire safety needed to be updated. And then, this morning a 24-storey apartment tower went up in flames.

Senate court delays
Liberal-appointed senator George Baker says that if Ottawa doesn't act soon, thousands of criminal cases are going to be thrown out of court because of unconstitutional delays.

Beluga rescue
There may be plenty of fish in the sea, but a river in New Brunswick has one whale too many. Marine experts are planning an operation to move the beluga back to the St. Lawrence.
