More than 80 million people tuned in to watch Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump face off in the first presidential debate of the season, making it the most-watched debate in American history.
Both candidates played with the truth throughout the debate, and journalists were there to hold them accountable.
According to Daniel Dale,the Toronto Star's Washington correspondent, Trump made 34 false claims during the debate. Clinton made four.
