Because on Saturday, a former protest party called the Pirates could form Iceland's government for the first time.
Although she's far from home, Toronto art student Adelaide Thorhallsdottir was eager to cast her ballot. Thorhallsdottir says the Pirates have her vote.
She discovered the only way to get her vote from Canada to Iceland on time was to appeal to the kindness of strangers on popular Toronto Facebook group, Bunz Trading Zone.
