Hotel Loyalty Card

Seventeen years ago Will Cooke's father-in-law gave his daughter a loyalty card. It was a Manitoba Super 8 stamp card, and after nine visits, the tenth was free.  Last Thursday Mr Cooke and his wife, cashed in the card.

Female Boston Marathoner 

Today marks the 50th anniversary of Kathrine Switzer's historic run in the Boston Marathon.  In 1967 Ms Switzer became the first woman to register officially for the race. 

Chechen Gay Beating 

Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta had reports that gay Chechen men were being rounded up, detained, and tortured in prison.
