Part One

Sex-Ed school
A Toronto school responds to angry protest over Ontario's new sex-ed curriculum by altering the lesson plan -- particularly, the parts about the parts.

Texas fertilizer plant
Residents of West, Texas have been grieving since a fertilizer plant blew up in 2013, killing 15 people -- and they've just learned that the fire that caused the blast was deliberately set.

Chief Runs With Paws
An American knick-knack store offers a figurine of a kitten wearing a headdress, called "Chief Runs With Paws" -- and tonight, our guest reflects on the inappropriateness of that appropriation.

Part Two

Saskatchewan cold case
In 1984, a teenager died under suspicious circumstances at the University of Saskatchewan -- and now, a former student of the school is trying to piece together the details of how the young man died.

Norway body image
The city of Trondheim, Norway, is fed up with advertising festooned with pictures of people with unrealistic bodies -- so it's going to fully strip those images -- of half-stripped models -- from public property.

Part Three

Samaritan purse volunteer
When a coordinator for the Samaritan's Purse refused to sign a faith statement declaring opposition to same-sex marriage and abortions, the charity terminated her position.

Sequenced genome man
How a Vermont man found the source of his chronic pain by sequencing his own genome.

Pizza stroke story
When an Oregon man stopped placing his regular order at a local pizzeria, staff got concerned. And then they got busy. And in the end, their intervention saved his life.
