Conservative appointments cost: Former Treasury Secretariat Kingsley
A former top bureaucrat says the Liberal government could simply revoke the controversial appointments made by the Conservatives just before the election, but it'd cost taxpayers a bundle. 

Chinese dissidents
Canada was about to bring two Chinese dissidents here from Thailand. But the day after officials signed the documents for their exit, Thailand deported them to China, where they were jailed.
