Prisoner escape: hardware store owner
The two convicted murderers who escaped from an upstate New York prison are believed to still be in the area -- which might be a relief to you, but not to local residents.Glenn Cohen is the owner of Dame's Ace Hardware store in Plattsburgh, New York.
Prisoner escape: reporter
It has been almost two weeks since the escape, but New York State Police say they still believe the two convicted murderers have not left the area. Brian Mann is a journalist with North Country Public Radio.
Todd Holt on Graham James
Todd Holt was in a Saskatchewan courtroom today to support his friend -- who came forward to say he'd also been abused by convicted sex offender and hockey coach Graham James. Mr. Holt -- who was himself abused by Mr. James -- responds to the new addition to his former coach's sentence.

Toxic algae bloom
"Algae bloom" has a nice sound to it. But when the word "toxic" appears in front of that phrase, it's definitely less pleasing. Now, the biggest toxic algae bloom yet has appeared off the west coast of North America.

For a guy who's been dead for thousands of years, Kennewick Man is pretty controversial. Now, Danish researchers have added to that controversy -- with their new findings on the ancient skeleton.

A California house where Marilyn Monroe once lived has been demolished. Preservationists who had been trying to save it say they were trumped by the power of condo developers.
