Hedonistic Harry vs. worthy William
Prince Harry buffs his distinct royal reputation
The British tabloid press has for years drawn a sharp distinction between Prince William and Prince Harry.
While both brothers have served in the military and won awards for their charitable work, "Wills" is portrayed as the honourable one — the rescue pilot and doting husband who will one day ascend to the throne.
Harry, on the other hand, is the hard-partying hedonist, a guy who once showed up at a private soiree dressed like a Nazi.
The difference in their reputations is especially palpable today, as William is lauded for airlifting an injured Canadian hiker to safety in northern Wales — his second dramatic helicopter rescue within a week — while TMZ.com has released pictures of Harry cavorting naked in a Las Vegas hotel room.
William’s highly publicized wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011 — as well as his continuing work as a rescue pilot — has done much to burnish his heroic reputation. Prince Harry, on the other hand, remains single, a fact that inevitably stokes tabloid rumours.
Here is a photographic look at the distinctly different media profiles of the royal brothers.
