Police in Windsor say a 25-year-old woman is dead after the car she was driving collided with a pickup truck on the city's east side.

It happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Lauzon Parkway and Hawthorne Drive.

"Upon arrival, officers discovered a white sedan with significant front-end damage and a white pickup truck flipped on its side," the Windsor Police Service said in a statement.

The driver of the pickup, a 38-year-old man, sustained what are referred to as "non-life-threatening injuries."
