WestJet adds more flights

Calgary-based discount air carrier WestJet is adding 47 flights a week to its schedule.

The airline will expand its service to Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Hamilton and Ottawa beginning Nov. 20.

WestJet is also acquiring a new Boeing 737-200 aircraft that it says will allow it to offer more non-stop flights.

WestJet currently flies to 15 cities, including Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Hamilton, Ottawa and Moncton.
