Toronto's H1N1 flu clinic locations announced

The City of Toronto has revealed 10 locations where residents will be able to get H1N1 influenza vaccinations.

Metro Hall - 55 John St.

North York Civic Centre - 5100 Yonge St.

Scarborough Civic Centre - 150 Borough Dr.

East York Civic Centre - 850 Coxwell Ave.

Etobicoke Civic Centre - 399 The West Mall.

Timothy Eaton Business & Tech Inst. - 1251 Bridletown Circle.

Melody P.S. - 24 Strathburn Blvd.

North Kipling Community Recreation Centre - 2 Roundtree Rd.

North Toronto Memorial Community Recreation Centre - 200 Eglinton Ave. W.

Masaryk-Cowan Community Recreation Centre - 220 Cowan Ave.

The swine flu clinics will be spread across the city and swing into operation on Monday, Nov. 2.

"Immunizing a city the size of Toronto is an enormous undertaking requiring the co-operation, support and hard work of hundreds of city employees," the Public Health Department said in a release.

The clinics are expected to stay open for six weeks.

The city hopes close to a million people will receive the shot.

Earlier this week, Dr. David McKeown, Toronto's medical officer of health, reported 45 cases of H1N1 in Toronto since the beginning of September.

Nine people have been treated in hospital, but there have been no deaths in Toronto.
