Margaret Atwood celebrates 75th birthday at Sudbury university
Iconic author talks social media strategy, 'Bart Gerrard,' and HBO adaptation of 'MaddAddam'
Margaret Atwood isn't particularly interested in compiling her best-of list just yet.
As legions of fans congratulated her on her 75th birthday, and media looked back on her venerated body of work, the prolific author and public intellectual made her way to Sudbury on Wednesday to talk (mostly) about the future.
"I'm pretty much all about the future," she said. "Not time for the reminiscences, and certainly not time to go back and find and all of the typos ... and there are some."

Atwood capped off a decade-long celebration of her birthday at Laurentian University in Sudbury on Wednesday night. But before she did, she entertained a few questions in a CBC Sudbury interview.
Atwood spoke with reporter Jessica Pope about why she signs certain online petitions, her PR advice to author Dave Eggers, the upcoming adaptation of her MaddAddam trilogy for HBO. Plus, she offers an impromptu Public Service Announcement.
