The ParticipACTION 150 Play List has arrived in Saskatoon and has set up in a local park in an effort to get people moving.

"People should come and be open minded," said Don Ratcliffe-Smith, an active lifestyle consultant, in an interview with CBC Radio's Saskatoon Morning.

"I think what's really cool about the play list and what's happening today is it is really exposing people to a wide variety of activities, and to stay active your whole life you have to have fun."

The Play List team, which is promoting a list of 150 activities to complete, is set up in Victoria Park from noon until 6 p.m. CST.

The group will have everything from wheelchair tennis to canoeing. Plus, there will be an event that Ratcliffe-Smith could not believe when he first heard about it: surfing.

No, you won't be riding waves; instead, you can test your balance on a surf simulator.

Ratcliffe-Smith is a fan of the Pplay list, because when it comes to staying active, he said variety is the spice of life.

Saskatoon Morning's sister show in Regina is, in fact, trying to get through the entire ParticipACTION 150 Play List. You can follow Peter Mills' attempts here.
