Wayne Zandarco says he doesn't have a Plan B for a possible shutdown of bus service.
"I'm hooped," he said.
Zandarco catches the bus every morning to get out to construction sites.
"I won't be able to get to work out in Stonebridge, I live in the west end and it takes me an hour and a half to get out there, so it pretty much screws me."
Zandarco's not alone. The morning bus riders at the downtown bus mall are there early because many face long commutes, with multiple transfers.
They're mulling over options should the service shut down Saturday. Carpooling? Taxi? Walking?
It's all on the table.
"It's going to disrupt, I think, a lot of the construction industry," said Brian McAreavey.
"A lot of those people, they take the bus, as do I."
Rhonda Warnock travels across the city to work at a hotel. She's mulling over her options.
"Ask friends. Take cabs. It's not going to be very fun. Very expensive. Other than that, nothing we can really do right?"
Yesterday, the city announced it has served a lockout notice to its transit workers. The deadline for a deal is Saturday at 9 p.m.
