7,000 Saskatchewan people missed due to IT error
The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency says it has corrected an error it made in sending out cancer screening kits.
The agency learned in March that it neglected to send out colorectal cancer kits to more than 7,000 targeted adults.
Adults aged 50 to 74 use the fecal test kits to see if they're at risk of getting the cancer.
The agency blamed the mistake on an IT systems error. The screening kits have now been sent to everyone who was supposed to get them.
Anyone in the target age-range who wants to participate in the program is encouraged to register with the agency.
