Cricket makes cover of Regina summer leisure guide

In perhaps a sign of the times, cricket has made the cover of the City of Regina summer leisure guide — even though it's not one of the program offerings.

Registration for various programs (but not cricket) begins May 12

In perhaps a sign of the times, cricket has made the cover of the City of Regina summer leisure guide — even though it's not one of the program offerings.

A paper copy of the annual summer guide, eagerly awaited by parents, is being delivered to homes today May 5.

The guide contains programs such as swimming lessons and sports camps that run from June 1 — Aug. 31.

A cricket program for kids 10 to 14 was offered in the city's winter-spring guide, but it's not mentioned in the summer guide.

Immigration from countries where cricket is a big sport has swelled the numbers recently in Regina. Plans are in the works to build some cricket practice facilities, including one close to the south leisure centre.
