Car enthusiasts flock to Majestics Car Show in Regina
Spectators treated to hundreds of vintage vehicles and motorcycles
The annual Majestics Car Show celebrated its 50th year in Regina this weekend.
Among the hundreds of vintage vehicles showcased at Evraz Place were a 1967 Dodge Charger, a 1950 Studebaker, and Garry Munro's classic 1957 Thunderbird. Munro said vintage cars, such as his, bring back memories for many people attending the show.
"They wanna have something that's fun that brought back their youth again," he said.
Munro said his '57 Thunderbird has been appraised at more than $100,000.
Brian Trask has the same sentiment as Munro. For him, the show is a chance to show off his 1967 Charger which is in mint shape.
"I think it brings back a lot of memories of stuff maybe they didn't have, but their parents did have or grandparents or whatever," Trask said. "They remember riding in that. And people like to just kind of be able to dream. They'd like to be able to have something like that too."
CBC's Dean Gutheil snapped photos of some of the classic cars:
