Graham DeLaet sinks 11 birdies, $5,500 for Fort McMurray fire victims
DeLaet pledged to donate $500 for every birdie he made this week to the Canadian Red Cross
PGA golfer Graham DeLaet may not have won big this weekend, but he did score some money for people who need it.
Earlier this week, the Weyburn, Sask., product pledged to donate $500 to the Canadian Red Cross for every birdie he made at the Wells Fargo Championship.
In the end, DeLaet finished with 11 birdies in total and will now donate $5,500 to help fire victims in Fort McMurray, Alta.
Frustrating day. 2 birds for the #Mac was all I could manage. Tweaked my neck this morning and couldn't swing it like normal. #sundaycharge

Same score today but 4 extra birdies makes and even $3000 for #FortMac today and two more shots at Quail this weekend.

DeLaet finished with just one birdie on Sunday, scoring a 78 or six over par. He finished the tournament eight over par.
DeLaet, through the Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation, also set up a fundraising page online for Fort McMurray. As of Sunday afternoon, more than $16,000 had been donated. Find it here.
Fellow Saskatchewan-born golfer Adam Hadwin joined in the effort, also donating $500 per birdie.
Racked up 4 birdies today. Brings me to a week total of 10, which means 5,000$ to help everyone hurt by the fires. #ymmproud
