A new series of videos was launched this week to help Islanders better understand the five choices they have in the plebiscite on electoral reform.

Elections P.E.I. officials say it's another part of the education campaign underway to reach as many people as possible before they vote this fall.

They were created because some people are more visual learners, according to the director of communications for Elections P.E.I., Paul Alan.

"The best way I can describe them is they are narrative, illustrated videos where it is fast drawing and the narration over top to explain what each one is about, each of the options," said Alan.

"The longest clip we have is probably about two minutes and 10 seconds so it is pretty intensive ... But it is simplified down so that anybody can understand it. So it just gets right into the nuts and bolts of each of the options."

Videos online

The videos are available online and will be shown at the education kiosks set up at malls and farmers markets.

The videos will also be shown in Island high schools this fall and are also being translated into French versions.

You can see those videos by going to www.yourchoicepei.ca. They can also be seen on Facebook and Twitter.
