Rain is expected to return Wednesday with 20 to 40 millimetres of precipitation falling by Thursday morning.
The ground has limited ability to absorb the rain, according to the weather agency.
Water levels on the Ottawa River are expected to keep rising for a few more days, with Ottawa's peak likely coming on Tuesday and Wednesday.
