Students at a Cape Breton elementary school are the proud owners of four traditional Mi'kmaw working sleds they helped make.
The project was funded through the ReconciliACTION program to help students learn about Mi'kmaw culture and traditions.
Students from grades Primary to 5 at Marion Bridge Elementary helped harvest the wood for the sleds.
They harvested it from school grounds with the help of Albert Marshall Jr. of Eskasoni First Nation.
Marshall returned to the school with the pieces for the sleds and the children helped assemble them.
