Toronto man, woman from Korea die, 5 injured

The two people killed in a head-on collision near Hubbards on Sunday were university students in Halifax, RCMP say.

A 24-year-old man from Toronto and a 23-year-old woman from Korea died in the crash that injured five others.

RCMP say the pair's Chevy Cobalt crossed the centre line on Highway 103, smashing into an oncoming van around 5:10 p.m.

A third person in the car and the four people in the van were injured.

Cpl. Joe Taplin said the weather appeared to be fine at the time of the crash and investigators don't believe alcohol was a factor.

RCMP have not released the names of the two university students.
