Dozens more catch swine flu in N.S.

Nova Scotia is seeing another spike in swine flu cases, with dozens of new cases.

Nova Scotia is seeing another spike in swine flu cases.

The reported number of confirmed cases climbed to 282 on Monday, up from 210 just four days earlier. Eight people have been treated in hospital.

Last week, provincial health officials said the flu is still spreading in Nova Scotia and people need to take precautions, such as staying home if they have flu-like symptoms.

Officials said there have been more severe cases, though most continue to be like the typical flu.

Officials plan to update their statistics every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
