Daniel Pellerin homicide nets second arrest and murder charge

A second person is now accused of killing Daniel Michael Pellerin, 28, in Dartmouth last weekend.

Pellerin was stabbed to death on Windmill Road last Saturday.

On Friday, Halifax police arrested 23-year-old Trevor Hannan of Dartmouth. Police only announced the first degree murder charge late Saturday night. 

Earlier on Friday police arrested a 15-year-old boy. He’s charged with a long list of crimes including first-degree murder. Police say at the time of his arrest he was carrying marijuana and a handgun.

Officers say Pellerin's killing was not a random act.

Both suspects are due in court on Monday.
