Newfoundland featured as an answer on Monday's episode of Jeopardy, although the show's American contestants struggled to come up with the correct response.

The clue stated, "In Canada This Land is Your Land goes, 'From Bonavista' (in this land paired with Labrador) 'to Vancouver Island,'" referring to the Canadian version of the folk song first penned by Woody Guthrie.

The clue elicited answers "What is New Brunswick?" from contestant Stew and "What is Prince Edward Island?" from Gary.

Jeopardy host and Sudbury, Ont. native Alex Trebek paused before responding "Usually Labrador is paired with ... Newfoundland."

Monday was not the first time that Newfoundland and Labrador has appeared as an answer on the show. The province was also an answer in the Final Jeopardy round on Jan. 7.
