Finishing with a ParaPan Am record time of 1:22.18, Katarina Roxon won the gold medal in the women's 100m breaststroke SB8 final.

The 22-year-old from Kippens won the 100m breaststroke event on Tuesday, with a final time of 1:22.18.

The paralympian, who was born with her left arm missing below her elbow, previously won two silver medals at this week's games.

On Monday, Roxon won the silver in the 50m freestyle, and prior to that had picked up the silver in the 400m freestyle.

She is set to compete again on Wednesday for the 200m women's medley at 11:24 a.m. Newfoundland Time.
