Jury selection starts in N.L. father's murder trial

Jury selection began Monday for a man accused of killing his twin daughters at a central Newfoundland lake in 2002.

Jury selection began Monday for a man accused of killing his twin daughters at a central Newfoundland lake in 2002.

Nelson Hart, 38, was charged in 2005 with two counts of first-degree murder.

Karen and Krista Hart drowned in Gander Lake in August 2002. The girls were three years old at the time.

Hart was charged following an RCMP undercover operation.

Potential jurors were summoned to Newfoundland Supreme Court in Gander.

The trial is expected to take about six weeks.
