Gander-born Brad Peyton has apparently signed on to direct a big-screen adaptation of 1980s arcade game Rampage.
The news was posted on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Instagram account.
"Promise y'all our goal is to raise the bar and make a movie that's epic, cool, entertaining and most importantly … has heart," Johnson said on Instagram.
This will be the third film Peyton has worked on with Johnson, as well as producer Beau Flynn.
In the summer, Peyton-directed action epic San Andreas was released. The team previously worked on Journey 2: Mysterious Island.
Rampage is set for a 2017 release.
