Police received the complaint on May 14, saying that there were animals with 'poor body condition' at a small farm outside of Springdale.
After investigating and searching the property with warrants, RCMP officers seized the animals.
According to the RCMP, all animals have been under a veterinary assessment since the initial visit, and postmortem exams were done on the deceased animals by the provincial Forestry and Agrifoods Agency.
Police have not announced any arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
