CBC will offer special programming on radio, TV and digital platforms on Monday

Jan. 29, 2018 marks the first anniversary of the Quebec City mosque shooting in which six men were killed.

CBC has special programming on radio, TV and digital platforms, commemorating the victims of that rampage and taking an in-depth look at the aftermath.

On Radio

Radio coverage includes profiles of the men who were killed the night of Jan. 29, as well as interviews with members of Quebec City's Muslim community. There is also a special series called "Growing up Muslim in Quebec City," in which young Quebecers share their feelings about their community and what they are doing to try to spark change.

There will also be a live radio special from Quebec City on Jan. 29., starting at 6:30 p.m. Quebec A.M.'s Susan Campbell will host and the special will be broadcast across the province. Tune into 94.7 FM in Quebec or 88.5 FM in Montreal or listen online.

CBC Montreal News at 6 with Debra Arbec will be live from Quebec City on Jan. 29. 

A vigil will be held on Jan. 29 at 6:30 p.m. to remember the events that happened one year ago at the mosque in Quebec City. The event will feature remarks from individuals on behalf of the victims, the survivors and their families and friends.

For those in Quebec City and the surrounding area, a vigil will be held in the parking lot of Notre-Dame-de-Foy Church, at 820 du Chanoine-Martin Street in Sainte-Foy.

For those who cannot attend, the vigil will be broadcast live on CBC Montreal and CBC Quebec's Facebook pages.
