Furnace repair company under new ownership
Winnipeg-based Furnasman bought by Vaughn Goettler in May
The new owner of a Winnipeg furnace repair company says he is making a clean sweep of practices at the firm.
Vaughn Goettler, owner of Right-Time Heating and Air Conditioning, says he bought Furnasman in May.
The company had been embroiled in complaints several years earlier, when it was under different ownership.
A series of stories by CBC News in 2009 raised questions about the repair practices and sales tactics of Furnasman's One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning.

The series was prompted by several complaints CBC had received about the company regarding advertising claims and work performed by service technicians.
Goettler said the company is no longer associated with the One Hour Heating brand and is employing ethical business practices.
Though the series prompted an investigation by the provincial Consumers' Bureau, no subsequent government orders or actions were taken.
