Two cougar incidents in Kamloops

There have been two cougar incidents in the last two weeks in Kamloops. A cougar was shot near a day care last week. Yesterday, there as a sighting near an elementary school. We checked in with a wildlife expert.

There have been two recent cougar sightings in Kamloops. Last week, a cougar was killed by conservation officers after it was spotted by  Little Fawn Daycare on the Tk'emlups Indian Band reserve. Just yesterday, there was another reported cougar sighting. This time, it was near Parkcrest Elementary school on the north shore. Frank Ritcey is the provincial co-ordinator for Wildsafe BC. It's a program designed to reduce human-wildlife conflicts.
