Medical resident travelled to England to get education

With the current doctor shortage, you'd think the doors to medical school would be wide open - not so. We heard from a first year family residency trainee working in Kamloops. She had to take the long-way around.

Natalie Lee got her medical training in England and is working as a residency trainee in Kamloops

The rural community of Logan Lake has two new doctors, which could take a bit of pressure off the doctor shortage in Kamloops and surrounding areas. (CBC)

Natalie Lee wanted to go to medical school to become a doctor.

She sped up the process by going to England for her education

It didn't come cheap.

Natalie is now a first year family residency trainee working in Kamloops.
