Man accused of killing younger brother charged with second-degree murder

A second-degree murder charge has been laid against a Calgary man accused of killing his younger brother.

Police allege Wayne Runner, 34, was involved in a verbal altercation with his 29-year-old brother, Cory Runner, that escalated and turned deadly. 

The incident took place around 1 a.m. on Dec. 7 at a home on Rundlehorn Terrace N.E.

Cory Runner was declared dead at the scene by EMS.
