Pedestrian dead, driver charged with impaired driving after Lethbridge collision
A woman is dead after being struck by a truck allegedly driven by an impaired driver in Lethbridge on Monday.
Shannon Good Striker, 34, faces three charges after 54-year-old woman killed
A woman is dead after being struck by a truck in Lethbridge on Monday and police allege the driver was impaired.
The truck was travelling southbound when it collided with a 54-year-old pedestrian in the 1200 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South, the Lethbridge Police Service said Tuesday.
Police responded to the incident shortly after 10 a.m.
The pedestrian was taken to the Chinook Regional Hospital, where police said she succumbed to her injuries.
After an investigation, Lethbridge resident Shannon Good Striker, 34, has been charged with impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing death with blood alcohol over .08 per cent, and dangerous driving causing death.
Good Striker will appear in court on Aug. 24.
