RCMP investigate after South Surrey home targeted
Residents reported gunshots a little after 2 a.m., but police found no evidence of gunfire
Police are investigating after an early morning attack on a home in South Surrey, Thursday.
The incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. in the 2500-block of 168 Street.
Staff Sgt. Blair McColl with Surrey RCMP said the resident who reported the attack to police was convinced that somebody was shooting at the house. But when officers arrived, they found no evidence of gunfire.
Police found garbage cans knocked over, with litter strewn across the driveway. A Porsche SUV that was parked in the driveway had been significantly damaged.

McColl said there was serious damage done to the vehicle's body and windows had been smashed.
"Obviously, somebody was mad, or sending a message to somebody in the house," said McColl, who added that investigators were still working on the details and trying to figure out what led to the destructive outburst.
McColl said police had not immediately been able to make any arrests, but the residents of the home were cooperating with their investigation.
