Michael Bublé is set to host the 2018 Juno Awards on March 24, and he says he's beyond excited to see this year's new talents.

During an interview with CBC Olympics correspondent Scott Russell yesterday, Bublé said, "I love that, in a year like this, we're celebrating the future."

Although he doesn't name specific newcomers, two of this year's most-nominated acts taking the stage are relatively new to the Junos: R&B star Daniel Caesar and singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez.

Bublé joked that there are years where a lot of familiar faces show up at the Junos — including himself — but the new names surfacing this year are destined to "become icons."

"To get to be a host and watch this wonderful, organic movement, this celebration and this support for young Canadian artists ... that is really exciting," Bublé told Russell.

In addition to discussing the Junos and Bublé's own experience performing and attending the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, the singer also revealed some artists he loves to listen to, giving a nod to Arcade Fire, Lights and Ruth B.

He also adds that his hockey soundtrack is Nickelback, his choice for "snuggling on Valentine's Day" is Sarah McLachlan or Céline Dion, and pop star Justin Bieber for "when I'm dancing at home, alone."
