René-Charles Angélil, the 20-year-old son of Canadian pop icon Céline Dion, is following in his mother's footsteps by embarking on a music career.

On Jan. 11, Angélil released his debut EP, Casino.5, under the name, RC Angélil. The 5-song release finds the eldest Dion child — the singer also has twin 10-year-old sons — rapping atop moody trap beats. Angélil first made his debut in 2018 when he released a couple of tracks on SoundCloud. He also rapped using the moniker Big Tip.

While Angélil's music is vastly different from the pop ballads his mother is best known for, Dion has publicly shown support for him, posting on Twitter and Instagram this week: "I'm so proud of my son. My love for him is so strong, and it touches me deeply that one of his passions is also one of mine. TVEC. - Mom xx."
