CBC Music's Canadian Music Class Challenge is back for a fall 2023 edition.  

Every year, we challenge music educators from across Canada to teach their students a Canadian song from our list, create a video performance of the students performing the song, and submit it for a chance to win great prizes. You can read more details about how to enter here.

Below are a few key dates to keep in mind if you are participating in this year's program:

  • Wed. Aug. 30: Official 2023 registration begins at 3:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. PT
  • Wed. Oct. 4: Video submissions open 3:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. PT
  • Wed. Nov. 22: Video submissions close at 8:00 p.m. ET/ 5:00 p.m. PT 
  • Wed. Dec. 6: Top Ten in each category released 8:00 a.m. ET / 5:00 a.m. PT
  • Wed. Dec. 13: Winners announced at 8:00 a.m. ET / 5:00 a.m. PT
